Simpson
Simpson Paper Company
Ripon Mill 942 SOUTH STOCKTON AVENUE March 7 , 1991
RIPON, CALIFORNIA 95366 (209)599-4241 FAX(209)599-0202
San Joaquin Local Health District
Environmental Health Permit/Services
P .O . Box 2009
1601 E . Hazelton Ave
Stockton, CA 95201
Dear Sir/Madam:
Re Well Permits : 89-1895 Out- of- Service Well #1 , 8/8/89
89-1896 Out- of- Service Well #2 , 8/8/89
This letter is to call your attention to the above well permits
which expired 8/8/90 . These "Out-Of-Service" permits were issued
pursuant to the issuance of two "New Well" permits for construc-
tion of two additional wells for process water on our property.
What effect, if any, does the expiration of these permits have on
the status of wells #1 and #2?
Our preferences are to destroy Well #2 because of its poor water
quality and because its pumping capacity is equal to, and thus
offsets , the combined added capacity of the two new wells , #4 &
#5 . We want to restore Well #1 to service because we did not
gain enough added pumping capacity from Wells #4 & #5 to offset
the lost capacity from Well #1 and the water quality is fairly
good.
Copies of the permits are attached to this letter . Please advise
what we must do .
Sincerely,
DennisAbrahamson,
Technical Director
