Proposal No.P1-410-0587 <br /> August 27,2010 <br /> Page 5 <br /> Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QA/QC) soil vapor sampling protocols in accordance with the guidance <br /> provided in the California Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) Sarening for Environmental Concerns <br /> at Sites with Contaminated Soil and Groundwater (RWQCB, 2005), California Department of Toxic Substances <br /> Control/Los Angeles RWQCB Advisory—Active Soil Gas Investigations(DTSC/LARWQCB,2003),and DTSC's <br /> Guidance for the Evaluation and Mitigation of Subsurface Vapor Intrusion to IndoorAir(DTSC,2005). <br /> 6.0 REPORTING <br /> Following receipt of the soil-gas analytical reports, data will be validated and a Phase II report will be <br /> prepared by SALEM to summarize the soil-gas sample results. The Phase II Environmental Site Assessment <br /> report will include: <br /> • Figure(s)or map(s) showing soil vapor sample locations; <br /> • A table of the soil vapor data;and <br /> • A preliminary evaluation of the soil-gas data with regard to health risk. <br /> 7.0 SCHEDULE <br /> 7.1 Schedule <br /> We would mobilize for this project within two weeks of your authorization to proceed, and from the earliest <br /> date of subcontractor availability after receipt of your authorization. We anticipate that the soil vapor <br /> sampling fieldwork would take one day to complete provided no delays are experienced due to access <br /> difficulties. Soil vapor chemical analytical results will be available the day of the fieldwork. Based on the <br /> aforementioned schedule, we anticipate that our report would be submitted in about three weeks of your <br /> authorization to proceed (subcontractor schedule dependent). Four copies of the report will be submitted. <br /> To expedite decision making regarding the Site, verbal recommendations could be made as data become <br /> available <br /> We appreciate the opportunity to submit this Proposal for your consideration and look forward to working <br /> with you on this project.
