This work includes the construction of a tunnel at this <br /> location. They require 6 each Subsurface Settlement Monitoring Points to monitor the soils around the tunnel. <br /> Upon completion of this work. We will procure permits and destroy the Subsurface Settlement Monitoring Points. <br /> We propose constructing 6 each Subsurface Settlement Monitoring Points. <br /> SSMP 1 25'deep <br /> SSMP 2 50'deep <br /> SSMP 3 25'deep <br /> SSMP 4 25'deep <br /> SSMP 5 50'deep <br /> SSMP 6 25'deep <br /> We will construct the SSMP with the following method. <br /> 1. Procure permit for each SSMP. <br /> 2. Drill 8.5"bore hole the correct depth with the hollow stem method. <br /> 3. Place 3" PVC schedule 40 blank casing to grade. <br /> 4. Pump tremie place neat cement grout in the annular space between the blank casing and the <br /> bore hole full depth as the hollow stem augers are withdrawn from the borehole. <br /> 5. Place 1.5"steel settlement monitors in the 3" PVC casing with restraint chain. <br /> 6. Place 8" by 12" Monitoring Well surface vault over the top of the casing.The surface vault has a <br /> gasketed bolt down lid. <br /> 7.
