EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE The current septic system includes a residential system located to the north of the existing residential structure (Figure 2). The existing septic system distribution box and leach field extends to the north and is located approximately 100 feet away from the onsite water well. The septic system is utilized 365 days a year by the existing structure (Figure 2). The proposed septic system and leach field is planned to be installed in the northern portion of the property over 400 feet from the onsite water well (Figure 2). The proposed septic system will consist, at a minimum, of a 1,200-gallon septic tank with two compartments and two 90-foot long leach lines. The septic system will be connected to the two-bedroom residence planned to be developed on the property and will be utilized 365 days a year. 3.1. EXISTING ON-SITE SEPTIC TANK USAGE The size and construction details of the existing septic system are unknown and there are no records on file at EHD for the septic system. The system is utilized 365 days a year for the existing two-bedroom house on the subject property. 3.2. SITE SEPTIC PERMIT HISTORY There are no septic permits on record at EHD. Besides EHD Permit 82-412 for installation of a new well at the subject property, there are no other liquid waste permits on file (Appendix B). 3.3. ON-SITE SEPTIC TANK REPAIR HISTORY There are no septic or liquid wastewater repair permits on file at the EHD. 3.4. EXISTING SEPTIC TANK USAGE IN THE GENERAL AREA Neighboring properties are zoned for residential land use. Several liquid waste permits are on record at the EHD for installation of septic systems surrounding the site property. 3.5. GENERAL AREA SEPTIC PERMIT HISTORY The following is a summary of information based on new septic system installation permits currently on file with EHD.
