27 April 2020
Project No. 20-5084
appears to be toward the north. Groundwater was not encountered in the 57-inch deep
percolation test hole advanced on 16 April 2020.

4.2. GROUNDWATER CONTAMINATION IN THE AREA OF THE SITE

The immediately adjacent and outlying land use for the parcel is residential and
agricultural. Potential groundwater contamination can occur from several sources
including leaking underground storage tanks, septic systems, agricultural activities,
dairies, and stormwater infiltration.

A review of the California Department of Toxics and Substance Control (DTSC)
EnviroStor Database and the Geotracker Web site did not reveal any properties of
environmental concern within a 0.5-mile radius of the site.

4.3. ON-SITE EXISTING WELL DESCRIPTION

There is one existing domestic water supply well on the property. One permit is on record
at EHD (82-412) dated 30 July 1982 for new well installation (Appendix B). According to
the permit, the well was installed in July 1982 with 6 -inch diameter PVC casing and a
bentonite grout seal to 50 feet bsg; no other information is provided on the permit. AGI
reviewed files using the Department of Water Resources (DWR) onlin e database and
could not locate any additional information about the well. Currently, the well provides
potable water to the existing residence and will provide potable water to the proposed
residence.

4.4. CONSTITUENTS BEING TESTED FOR IN THE WATER SAMPLE

Nitrate (NO3) constituents were tested in the existing groundwater supply well at the
subject property.

4.5. GROUNDWATER SAMPLE COLLECTION

On 16 April 2020, a sample of the drinking water provided by the current groundwater
supply well at 11855 Mountain View Road, Tracy was collected in an unpreserved 0.5-liter
plastic container. The groundwater sample container was properly labeled, placed in a
chilled container and transported under chain -of-custody protocols to McCampbell
Analytical, Inc. (MAI), a California Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program
(ELAP)-certified laboratory. The sample was analyzed for Nitrate as Nitrogen (N) and
Nitrate as NO3-.
