For the large-sample approximation, I Zs I is compared to a critical value, Zerit, where Zat;t
is the value of the standard normal distribution for I Zs I with a probability of exceedence
a/2. If I Zs I > probability of Zuijt a positive correlation (trend) is indicated.
DISCUSSION
Trend analysis was conducted for the data set from January 1992 to present.
Trends by analytes in all wells show the following characteristics:
o pH concentration trends are stable (no trend) in wells OB-13, 013-23, TH-2, TH-
5, TH-7,TH-8, TH-1 I, M-19-C, and PW-4 through PW-8. Increasing trends in
pH concentrations were present in all other wells.
o EC concentrations trends are increasing in wells OB-4, 013-7, 013-8, 013-28, and
TH-8; stable(no trend) in wells 013-1 through 013-3, 013-5, 013-6, 013-9, 013-12,
OB-14, 013-15, OB-19 through 013-21, 013-27, TH-2, TH-4 through TH-6, TH-
