Hazelton Avenue <br /> Stockton, CA 95205 <br /> Re: SA-90-62 <br /> Dear Ms. Sullivan: <br /> Thank you for referring the site approval application, for a lum- <br /> ber yard and roof truss manufacturing facility, to the Airport <br /> Land Use Commission. <br /> The proposal is located approximately one and a third miles due <br /> west of the main runway at the Stockton Metropolitan Airport <br /> and under the Horizontal Imaginary Surface. The area is in an <br /> overflight area and periodically subjected to high incidence of <br /> noise from large aircraft departing to the airport and comes <br /> close to falling under the 60 decibel noise contour. <br /> The Airport Land Use Plan places some restrictions on develop- <br /> ment at this location. Some of the restrictions for land uses <br /> under a Horizontal Imaginary Surface are spelled out on the <br /> attachment to this letter. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Staff finds the proposal to be in comformity with the San <br /> Joaquin County Airport Land Use Plan. <br /> Due to the projects proximity to the airport, the applicant may <br /> wish to soundproof any office areas. In addition, we request an <br /> Avigation Easement in favor of San Joaquin County. <br /> Also there should not be any reflective roofs permitted on any <br /> structures and any activities permitted which would attract <br /> birds to the area. <br /> • COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN • CITIES OF STOCKTON, LODI, MANTECA,TRACY, RIPON, LATHROP, ESCALON • <br />
