SA-88-31 OF J. R. SIMPLOT
COMPANY (C/O WILLIAM DUNCAN) (SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT 1 )
----------------------------------------------------------------
At the Planning Commission hearing of May 19 , 1988 , Michael
Normoyle, representing Philco Disposal Company, and William
Duncan, representing Tuff Boy Sales, requested a one-month con-
tinuance. The purpose of the continuance was to allow time to
await the outcome of the Board of Supervisors hearing to consider
the contract bids for waste hauling in the County. Mr. Normoyle
stated at this hearing that the expense involved in meeting the
conditions of approval would be justified if the contract was
extended. The Planning Commission granted the requested con-
tinuance on the above-referenced application, with the hearing
open, to July 7 , 1988 .
At the Board of Supervisors hearing on June 14 , 1988 , Philco
Disposal Company was granted a two-year extension of their
contract .
During the extension period, staff also verified the status of
the lease agreement . Questions had been raised that two leases
had been executed for the uses reviewed under the Site Approval .
If this had been the case, a subdivision would be required.
However, examination of the lease verified a single leaseholder
for the entire area covered by this permit approval .
Attachments
CD/WS/blm
