Pep Boys #711
ASSESSMENT, continued
4) Corrosion. See Table IV.
5) Other structural damage. See Table IV.
Title 22, 66265.192(c) -- Not Applicable if this is an above ground tank system. The subject tank
system is an above ground tank system.
Title 22, 66265.192(d) -- All new tanks and ancillary equipment shall be tested for tightness prior
to being placed in use. The tank meets UL 142 Standard. This standard requires that the tank
must be hydrostatically tested to 25 psi at the factory. "Tightness" simply means the tank
does not leak. At the time of inspection for this report and daily (see item (k)(4) later in this
report) for such leaks. Hence it is tightness tested daily and it is not leaking. The whole tank is
tight.
Title 22, 66265.192(e) --Ancillary equipment shall be supported and protected against physical
damage and excessive stress due to settlement, vibration, expansion or
Contraction. See Table IV.
Title 22, 66265.192(f) --If applicable, provide the type and degree of corrosion protection
necessary. Independent corrosion protection specialist oversight. Not applicable. The tank is
above ground and inside a structure. It is not in contact with soil or water. It is inspected daily
for leaks and an inspection log is kept. The tank has corrosion – resistant coatings.
Title 22, 66265.192(h) (1-2) --On ground or above ground tank systems authorized under PBR or
CA shall have an assessment based on 66265.192(k) is on file at the facility. This report provides
the required assessment.
Title 22, 66265.192(k)(1) --A drawing of the tank(s) configuration as well as
description of the materials of construction and gross capacity is included.
See Figures 4 and 5.
(k)(2)—Design standards, if available, for the tanks and ancillary equipment, as well as the
following: See Tables I and 11.
(A) --The material of construction. See Table 1.
(B) --The material thickness and method used to determine the thickness. See Table 11.
(C) --Description of tank system piping (material, diameter). There is no system piping.
0
