As a result of this review we wish
to offer the following comments.
This project, which proposes the development of a restaurant,
convenience store, fuel stations fer automobiles , RV' s and trucks ,
RV pumpout station, truck scale, etc . , will impact the ramps and
ramp intersections at the Interstate 5/French Camp Road interchange.
In order to adequately assess the impacts a traffic analysis needs
to be prepared. It should include the following:
- An estimation of the projects total trip generation
using recognized trip generation factors.
- The analysis should include at a minimum the existing
traffic , the project related traffic, the cumulative
traffic , along with AM/PM peak hour turning movements .
This analysis should include project related and
cumulative impacts to mainline Interstate 5 .
- An estimation of the directional distribution of the
project trips .
- An evaluation of the project' s traffic impacts on the
Level of Service (LOS) of the key intersections in
the area including the above Interstate 5 interchange
ramps and ramp intersections .
- A discussion which recommends mitigation measures
for significant impacts and a reference to funding
