F - - r' • Third Quarter 1998 Groundwater Monitoring Report Colberg Boat Works„401 North Stockton Street, Stockton,Califorma Page 3 Groiindwater Sam lin and Analysis On July 24, 1998, Apex personnel collected groundwater samples from morutoring wells MW-1 through MW-3 in accordance to the Apex SOP included as Appendix A No samples were taken from groundwater monitoring wells MW-4 through MW-6 due to the previous closure request Also, analysis for concentrations of TPHd and concentrations of oxygenate constituents, with the exception of MTBE have been discontinued for groundwater monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3 The samples were submitted, under chain-of-custody documentation, to California Laboratory Services of Rancho Cordova, California, a state-certified analytical laboratory The samples were analyzed for concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons, as gasoline (TPHg) by EPA Method 8015 Modified and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX) and methyl t-butyl ether (MTBE)by EPA Method 8020 The analytical results are summarized in 'Table 2 The laboratory analytical reports and chain-of-custody form are included in Appendix B Figure 4 shows the distributions of TPHg, benzene and MTBE in the shallow groundwater on July 24, 1998 at the subject site RECOMMENDATIONS • Apex is in the process of preparing a feasibility study workplan to determine the potential for using oxygen release compound (ORC)to remediate the petroleum products which are present in MW-3 This feasibility workplan will be submitted by the end of August 1998 REPORT DISTRIBUTION Apex submitted a copy of this report to 1 Mr Jeffrey Wong San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division 304 East Weber Avenue Stockton, Califorma 95201 2 Ms Elizabeth Thayer Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board 3443 Routier Road, Suite A Sacramento, California 95827-3015 • KJ D 100 001-COLBERG BOAT WORKSIQMR07981QU RTEXT DOC
