Stockton, California 95201 z Subject Second Quarter 1998 Groundwater Monitoring Report And Closure Request for Former Diesel Tank Site Colberg Boat Works ' 858 West Fremont Street (401 North Stockton Street) Stockton, CahfoAua Apex Project No 100COLO 001 Dear Ms Swanson Apex Envirotech, Inc (Apex), is pleased to provide you with this report documenting the results of the groundwater monitoring conducted at the subject site (Figure 1) on April 30, 1998 This report also includes the results of a mass balance estimation for the former diesel tank location on the west side of the subject site Based on the monitoring results and the mass balance estimation, Apex recommends closure of the former diesel tank site at the subject site, and the analysis for total petroleum hydrocarbons, as diesel (TPHd) and oxygenates be terminated for wells MW-1 through MW-3 at the former gasoline tank location l^Lfo ��, _ _(1 /�� (A) ( This report is based, in part, on information obtained by Apex from Colberg Boat Works,aaned is l subject to modification as newly acquired information may warrant SITE DESCRIPTION The subject site is located in the western portion of Stockton, San Joaquin County, California, at an elevation of approxixiately 10 feet above mean sea level The site contains several marine service warehouse/storage buildings on approximately three acres of land and is located in an industrial area of Stockton, California (Figure 1) The-site is nearly level and is bordered by the Stockton Deep Water Channel to the south The site is a former ship yard which is no longer active, with the exception of Imuted boat storage (Figure 2)
