The on-Site well has been sampled <br /> semi-annually from January 1999 through May 2015 and has reported no detections of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons. Results from sampling conducted from May 2003 through <br /> August 2008 at the Phillips well reported detections of Methyl Tert Butyl Ether (MTBE) twice, <br /> Once at 0.53 micrograms per Liter (ug/L) in February 2008 and again at 0.58 ug/L in August <br /> 2008. No additional sampling from the Phillips well has been conducted since August 2008. <br /> We understand the owner of the Phillips private water supply well has declined access to <br /> sample this well. <br /> We could not locate a figure in the Closure Report showing the location of the Phillips well. <br /> Additionally, no documentation of the owners' refusal to allow sampling are included in the <br /> record for this case. We cannot grant closure at this time since the threats to the private water <br /> supply well have not been adequately addressed in the SCM and Closure Report. In addition, <br /> groundwater pollution has not been adequately delineated in the direction of the Phillips water <br /> supply well, reported as located 120 feet to the north of the Site. <br /> KARL E.
