In the nine months since f <br /> t the approval of the revisions, the proposed work has yet to commence at the / <br /> above-referenced site. <br /> Mr. Bill Fox of WHF, Inc. stated in a telephone conversation on May 1, 1998 that <br /> they were obtaining bids for the proposed work from contractors and that the <br /> bidding should be completed around May 12, 1998. Mr. Fox estimated pre- <br /> approval from the State Water Resources Control Board Petroleum Underground <br /> Storage Tank Cleanup Fund (Fund) would be obtained by May 27, 1998. <br /> In a telephone conversation with Mr. Fox on August 21, 1998, he again stated <br /> that contractors were bidding on the proposed work and that pre-approval from <br /> the Fund had not been obtained yet. <br /> In the nine months since the approval of the final revisions of the work plan, <br /> PHS/EHD has not received any quarterly reports on the investigation status, <br /> actions taken at the site, and time schedules for implementing the proposed <br /> actions as required by California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 23, Division 3, <br /> Chapter 16, Section 2652. Submission of quarterly reports is to begin <br /> immediately and continue until the site investigation and remediation is complete. <br /> Contamination at the site was further documented in the "Phase II - Site <br /> Assessment Report of Findings" dated June 7, 1997 prepared by WHF, Inc. <br /> Analytical results of the soil samples collected at 20 feet below ground surface <br />.
