We need to look* the site and make a determinalan
based on the site characteristics, the extent of contamination, threat
to drinking water well, possible connection to municipal water etc. I
will be happy to discuss the site with you. Let us set up a call, since
I have moved on to the other sites, I will need time to review the file
for the subject site. and the other site that the geologist is talking
about and the possibility of closure. Is the drinking water well
impacted? Will it ever be impacted? These are the kind of questions
that we will need to look at and than make a determination. The driving
force has to be the site closure. . .
Hope this helps.
Thank You,
Himanshu (Hari) Patel
Water Resource Control Engineer
Division of Financial Assistance
State Water Resources Control Board
Phone No. (916) 341-5831
Fax No. (916) 341-5806
>>> "Lori Duncan [EH] " <lduncan@sjcehd.com> 10/14/2010
10:51 AM >>>
Hari,
I was wondering if you had had any time to review this
question?
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
lduncan@sjcehd.com
(209) 468-0337 phone
(209) 468-3433 fax
From: Lori Duncan [EH]
Sent: Friday, October 01, 2010 10:26 AM
TO: 'Hari Patel'
Subject: FW: Claim No 8525, Your Case No. 2021
Hari,
In June you suggested the CUF could have a new domestic
well installed at this site in order to remove the risk and close the
site. Would the CUF also pay to have the neighbors well moved to a safe
location? It is the neighbors well, located north of the site, that has
had two detections of MtBE.
Our geologist wont close the subject site based on
moving the onsite well only, as the neighbors well is obviously at just
as much risk.
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
lduncan@sjcehd.com
(209) 468-0337 phone
(209) 468-3433 fax
5
