Present at the meeting
were Jeanne Homsey, ATC Associates, Inc. (ATC), Lorraine Sawyer, ATC, on speaker
phone, and Lori Duncan and Nuel Henderson, SJC/EHD.
The following items were discussed and/or agreed upon at the meeting:
1. An acoustical blanket has been received by ATC and will be installed on the
blower of the soil vapor extraction system within the next week to reduce the
noise nuisance from the system.
2. A work plan addendum for conducting a cone penetrometor test (CPT) boring
investigation will be submitted to SJC/EHD by the end of the year. The CPT
borings will be the next phase of work performed at the site.
3. If additional monitoring wells are needed, their locations and depths will be
determined after analysis of the results of the CPT investigation, and they will
be installed in a second phase of work.
4. A deeper (-130 foot) groundwater monitoring well must be installed onsite to
vertically define the contamination present in well MW-6; this deep well will be
installed during the second phase of work.
If you have any questions please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS Nuel Henderson, Jr., PG
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV Engineering Geologist, Unit IV
cc: James Barton, PG, CVRWQCB
Jeanne Homsey, PE, ATC
Lorraine Sawyer, PG, ATC
