Fax:209-579-2225 <br /> Following soil characterization and groundwater sample collection, the borings will be backfilled <br /> with neat cement grout to the ground surface. Drill cuttings, if any, will be stored on site in 55- <br /> gallon drams pending laboratory results. <br /> If CPT data indicate multiple water bearing zones and analytical data indicate an impact of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons to groundwater in a lower water bearing zone, additional investigation <br /> may be warranted including deeper groundwater monitoring wells. <br /> Sample Analysis <br /> The groundwater samples collected from the CPT soil borings will be immediately placed in a <br /> cooler with ice and delivered under chain-of-custody documentation to a State-certified analytical <br /> laboratory. Samples will be analyzed for TPHg utilizing EPA method 8015 modified; BTEX <br /> utilizing EPA method 8020; and MTBE, ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), di-isopropyl ether <br /> (DfPE), tertiary amyl ether(TAME),tertiary butyl ether(TBA), 1,2-dichloroethane(1,2-DCA),and <br /> 1,2 dibromoethane(EDB)utilizing EPA Method 8260B. <br /> Report Preparation <br /> A summary report will be prepared for submittal to the EHD. The report will include a <br /> description of field activities, laboratory analytical results, CPT boring logs, updated cross <br /> sections, conclusions, and recommendations. A copy of the report will also be submitted to <br /> RWQCB. <br /> All work described in this workplan will be performed under the direction of a California <br /> Registered Professional Engineer or Geologist. All work will be performed in accordance with <br /> ATC's Site Safety Plan (SSP) and Quality Control/Quality Assurance Plan already on file for this <br /> site. <br /> SCHEDULE <br /> The field activities will be scheduled as soon as regulatory approval of this workplan is received <br /> from EHD. ATC will notify EHD at least 48 hours prior to beginning field activities.
