determined, the well will be completed in the lower aquiclude or aqui-
tard. The geologist will make the decisions on well completion.
Each well will be screened 10 feet above and 40 feet below the first-
encountered water zone (except under confined conditions).
Wells will be i developed by air lifting or pumping until the water that
is produced is clear, and its pH and electrical conductivity have sta-
bilized.
Submersible pumps, Grundfos or equivalent, will be installed in each
1 well . This type of pump has been selected to allow extraction of water
from the anticipated water depth of more than 100 feet. The top of each
well will be protected with a steel vault which will have appropriate
t plug fixtures for generator connections.
TASK 2 - Sampling and Analysis of Water Samples
Samples from each monitoring well will be collected in accordance with
the sampling .protocol described in the "Ground-Water Monitoring Program"
previously referenced. The first round of samples will be analyzed for
the following!
• Purgeable Organics (EPA Method 624)
1
• Title 22 parameters (as listed on Table 1 of the "Ground-
Water Monitoring Program")
• Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)
pH
Specific Conductance (electrical conductivity)
t One round of blank and spike samples will be collected and analyzed as
part of the QA/QC program.
r
PRA 8607-37A 4
EMCOA Associates
