 v
ATC
A S S O C I A T E S I N C
ANALYTICAL RESULTS
The groundwater samples collected from wells MW1, MW2, MW4, MW5, MW6, and MW9 and
contained detectable concentrations of TPHg and BTEX constituents The groundwater samples
collected from wells MW3 and MW8 and the on-site domestic well contained no detectable
concentrations of TPHg, TPHd, or BTEX
The groundwater sample collected from well MW6 contained the highest concentration of
MTBE The groundwater samples collected from wells MW1, MW2, MW3, MW4, MW5,
MW8, and MW9 contained no detectable concentrations of MTBE although the reporting limit
for MW2 was elevated due to dilution
The groundwater samples from wells MW 1, MW5, and MW6 contained detectable
concentrations of 1,2-DCA The groundwater samples collected from wells MW2, MW4, and
MW8 and the on-site domestic well did not contain detectable concentrations of ETBE, DIPS,
TAME, 1,2-DCA, and EDB Analytical results of groundwater samples are summarized In Table
2 and laboratory data sheets are contained in Attachment 2
ADDITIONAL SITE ACTIVITIES
On the week of September 29, 2003, ATC personnel noticed that the standpipe for well MW8
had been knocked over apparently when the field was recently plowed ATC probed the MW8
standpipe and dug to find the well casing in an attempt to repair the well The casing was folded
over at the concrete grout interface approximately I foot bgs, but the remainder of the casing did
not appear to be damaged
On October 28, 2003, MW8 was repaired by chiseling out 6-inches of grout to expose the intact
2-inch well casing The casing was cut off to expose a fresh surface and a new standpipe was
installed with a pressure fit slip coupling The lockable steel standpipe was replaced, painted
bright yellow, and secured with a 3-foot diameter apron of concrete The annulus was filled with
cement grout to seal the PVC slip couple and well casing within the steel standpipe The well
casing was sounded and found to be clear to a depth of 92' A waterproof well cap was installed
and the steel standpipe was locked secure
The elevation of MW8 was resurveyed on November 20, 2003 by utilizing a leveling transit and
comparing the elevation of the top of the well casing with the known elevations of three nearby
well casings, MW1, MW5, and MW9 The elevation of the MWS well casing was found to be
134 51 feet
S\Enviromenta112529IVeportsWQR-2003 doe 3
