r • 1.0 INTRODUCTION ' This report presents a summary of second quarter 1999 groundwater monitoring activities and results at 15634 Stemegul Road (the Site) in Escalon, California ' Site information is as follows r Site Location 15634 Steinegul Road Escalon, California r Project Contact Mr Brian Greer 1111 First Street Escalon, California 95320 r (209) 838-3593 r2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION ' The Site is a private residence located at 15634 Stennegul Road in the City of Escalon The subject property, comprising approximately 135 acres, is identified as San Joaquin County APN 229-120-04 Figure 1 presents a Vicinity Map of the Site The Site includes a residence, r i workshop/garage, and adjacent pasture Figure 2, Site Plan, illustrates the developed portion of the Site The Site is bounded by Steinegul Road to the west, a residence to the north, and pasture to the south and east Topography of the area is generally flat r3.0 PROJECT HISTORY rTwo regular gasoline underground storage tanks (USTs) and a fuel dispenser island were located between the residence and the workshop, at the approximate locations shown in Figure 2 The USTs had capacities of 550 and 1,000 gallons I In September 1986, Precision Industries,Inc conducted precision testing on the two USTs The r 550-gallon UST failed and the 1,000-gallon UST passed within the State guidelines In May 1987 the USTs were exhumed and removed from the Site under permit The USTs were hauled by H&H Ship Service Company to the Levin Metals Corporation disposal site in Richmond, rCalifornia Precision Industries, Inc obtained one soil sample from each UST excavation The sample from rthe 550-gallon UST excavation was obtained from a depth of approximately 10 feet below . ground surface (bgs) The sample from the 1,000-gallon UST excavation was obtained from approximately 12 feet bgs Analytical results for the sample from the 1,000-gallon UST r1 Quarterly Momtarnng Report 07400178-Second Quarter 1999 r
