' R 'v'
Raymond Greer (An Individual)
' 15634 Steinegul Roam Escalon, California June 7, 1997
Phase H-Site Assessment, Report of Findings Page: S
' 6.0 Hydrology
I California and the Federal Government have mandated that virtually all groundwater is
beneficial for current or future use unless it can be demonstrated that no beneficial use is
known
' This aquifer is considered to be of beneficial use and as a result, must be protected from
contamination Those identified u§es include agriculture and industrial, as well as
Ipotential use for animal or human consumption
' 7.0 Groundwater Conditions
' Groundwater underlying this site is a approximately 78 5 foot bgl The groundwater
gradient of the local area is approximately N 50° W according to the lines of Equal
Elevation to water in Wells Map, Spring 1995, for the San Joaquin Valley District The
I groundwater sample collected from Boring B-1 had detectable levels of contamination
reported Gasoline was detected at 53 mg/L, Benzene at 21,000 ug/L, Toluene 21,000
ug/L, Ethyl Benzene at 1,700 ug/L and total Xylenes at 120,000 ug/L The domestic well
was non detected for all petroleum hydrocarbons analyzed for by EPA methods
Certificates of Analysis are found to Appendix B &E of this report
I
8,0 Conclusions and Recommendations
After a complete review of all field data, Laboratory data and historical data available for
this site at this time, it is apparent that both soils and groundwater have been impacted by
I the release of petroleum hydrocarbon motor fuel from the UST's formerly located at this
residence However, no impact has been identified, at this time, on the residence's
domestic water supply
IWHF recommends the following coarse of action
' Monitoring of the domestic well located adjacent boring B-1 on a quarterly bases for
Gasoline, Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl Benzene and total Xylenes until site mitigation is
completed
I Install three 3 monitoring wells to a depth of 100 foot to allow for gradient
t ) g P
determination and groundwater monitoring
