If you allow it on this occurrence, it might be used to not pay the fees at other times. In my limited experience with MIP it was very slow so 14 points may take several days and the site is not close so travel time may use up a lot of the fees. We probably will exceed the LOP budget so the fee money is important to EHD. They can apply to the Cleanup Fund for reimbursement. I sent a work plan approval letter for Ranch Market (non D LOP site)back in Sept 07. A condition I listed was for$383 application fee per parcel (five of them). Then on May 7, in an email from me to the consultant, I inadvertently mentioned $89 per permit. Stress, habit, rushed, who knows why, by now I have five applies with five checks for$89 each. I told him to send $383 times 5 like I wrote in the letter and he's leaning on the May email and trying NOT to pay the amount. the drilling is for 14, —40-foot deep MIP borings all over the area (five parcels)...chances are I won't be there to spend $294 on each permit, especially since two of the parcels only have ONE boring on them......... OK if I make him a deal and make him send in an amount I suggest, say a 3-hour amount for one inspection, and I limit my grout inspection time to this time &budget? or does LOP need all that$$ ($1915)minus$294= $1621 and I should tell him to cough up the rest.? 5/27/2008
