Sent. By: RWOCR; 2553439; Dec-28-• 5:28PM; Page 313
Ranch Market, Riverbank - 2 - draft
Secor identified SVE combined with ozone sparging was as the most technically feasible and cost effective
alternative to remediate petroleum hydrocarbons and oxygenates remaining in soil and groundwater at the site.
Board staff agree with Secor's recommendation. The SVE and ozone sparging should be operated concurrently,
and sparge points should be closely spaced and intersect the entire vertical extent of the plume. By 19 February
2001,submit a Final Remediation Plan describing the implementation and continued operation of the proposed
remediation systems to effectively remediate soil and groundwater at the site.
All reports are to be submitted to the San Joaquin County Environmental Hcalth Division and the Regional
Board. Contact Mr. Mike Infurna(County)at(209)468-3454 and me at least two business days prior to any site
work to schedule a field inspection appointment. If you have any questions or comments, please call me at
(916)255-3115.
APPROVED
Author
Marty Hartzell
Associate Engineering Geologist
cc: Ms. Wennilyn Fua, IJ ST Cleanup Fund, SWRCB,Sacramento
Mr.Mike Infurna, San Joaquin County Environmental health Division, Stockton
Mr.Jaff Auchtcrionie, Secor International Incorporated, Sacramento
