Santa Fe Rd.
Riverbank, CA.,95367
SanJoaquin County Public Health Services,Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) has
recently been informed that the groundwater currently being supplied to your residence by the
Ranch Market property contains nitrates that exceed the Maximum Contaminant Level (MQ.)
allowable for public water systems.
Although the drinking water well located on the Ranch Market property is not a public water system
and is not regulated by PHS-EHD, recent water testing has indicated that agricultural agents have
impacted the well. Therefore PHS-EHD advises that you should not drink or cook with the water
from your faucets.
PHS-EHD will require the responsible parties for the Ranch Market former underground storage
tank unauthorized release to immediately supply you with plastic-bottled, factory-sealed,drinking
water until a permanent replacement for your own domestic well is completed. In the meantime,
PHS-EHD advises you that drinking the nitrate impacted water is not in your best interest and
should be avoided.
Please contact me at (209) 468-3454 if you have any questions or wish to discuss anything about the
groundwater conditions, your well, or any health questions you may have.
