SECOR <br /> International Incorporated <br /> August 16, 2000 <br /> To: Prospective Bidder <br /> Subject: Request Bid- Test Boring And Water Well Installation <br /> Ranch Market Site <br /> 23569 South Santa Fe Road <br /> Riverbank, California <br /> SECOR International Incorporated(SECOR)requests your firm submit a bid for the installation of <br /> one test boring and one deep groundwater supply well at the subject site (Attachment 1, Figures 1 <br /> and 2). The bid specifications and project assumptions are included (Attachment 2). <br /> The proposed boring and well locations are on the Pantoja property located at 23565 S Santa Fe <br /> Road, north of the Ranch Market Site. A release of gasoline from the Ranch Market site has <br /> migrated to and impacted the existing domestic well, DW-2, located on the Pantoja property. Due <br /> to the presence of gasoline related compounds in water samples collected from DW-2, the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Division has requested that a permanent potable water supply <br /> be provided to the Pantoja property. <br /> In order to insure the proposed well will supply water that meets the Title 22 Drinking Water <br /> Standards for Community Water Systems a test soil boring will be drilled to allow for the collection <br /> and analyses of water samples at 250 and 600 feet below surface grade. The water sample results <br /> will be used to determine the total depth of the proposed water well. It is possible the well may be <br /> used to supply water to the adjoining properties, so the bid request forms request cost estimates for <br /> a well that can supply 25 gallons per minute and one that can produce 125 gallons per minute. <br /> Please fill out the bid request form, include your normal bid sheet format, and FAX the completed <br /> bid package back to our office by noon on Friday August 18, 2000.
