Secor proposes to complete an initial soil and groundwater <br /> investigation as Phase 1 of their site assessment, and complete monitoring well installation as Phase 2 of their site <br /> assessment. The Phase 1 investigation will include: <br /> • Collect and analyze soil and groundwater samples from two continuous core borings and three <br /> direct-push borings(base the depth of continuous core borings on off-site domestic well DW-2). <br /> • Prepare a letter report to include soil and groundwater analytical data, cross sections,revised locations <br /> of proposed monitoring wells and well screen intervals. <br /> The Phase 2 investigation will include installing one deep and four shallow monitoring wells. A sensitive <br /> receptor survey will also be completed. <br /> The Workplan is approved with the following comments: <br /> • Collect continuous core samples at the two deep soft borings starting at 10 feet below ground surface. <br /> • Complete a fourth direct-push soil-boring approximately 10 feet north of domestic well DW-3. <br /> • Collect a groundwater grab sample from the total depth of each of the soil borings, and analyze for site <br /> constituents by EPA Method 8260B. <br /> • The deep groundwater monitoring well may be installed using an alternative drilling method with care <br /> taken to prevent cross-contamination of deeper water bearing units. <br /> • Obtain written access agreements and County boring permits for each parcel prior to starting work. <br /> Please contact Mr.Mike Infuma at San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division and me at least two <br /> business days prior to any site work to schedule a field inspection appointment.
