Mike Infurna [EH]
From: Matt Hanko
Sent: Monday, August 18, 2003 1:57 PM
To: Mike Infurna[EH]
Subject: Ranch Market Update
Mike:
You should have received the Second/Third Quarter report for the Ranch Market located at 23569 South Santa
Fe Road in Riverbank.
As you may be aware we switched from the Thermal Oxidizer to Granular Activated Carbon (GAC). Last week
performed our first change out of spent carbon. Since it was our first change out we had to collect carbon
samples for profiling purposes. While waiting for analytical and profiling by US Filter the system was down for
week. If we continued to run the SVE we would have exceeded the limits of our permit with San Joaquin Valley
Air Pollution Control District. Upon restart on Thursday, August 14, the belts on the SVE blower/motor blew out
due to a worn keeper key on the spindle of the pump and a damaged pulley. Replacement parts have been
ordered and will be installed on Tuesday, August 19.
We will be receiving a new oxygen condenser for the ozone sparge system either today or tomorrow. The
oxygen booster will be installed ASAP upon receipt, and the ozone sparge system will be returned to service.
Regards,
Matt Hanko
Geocon Consultants, Inc.
office: 925-371-5900
cell: 925-785-5021
8/19/2003
