The well is allowed to recover to 80%of its original volume or two hours have passed,then a sample will be <br /> withdrawn and placed in its appropriate container <br /> Purged water will be placed in a drum,sealed and left at the site until its hazardous condition can be assessed. <br /> Each well location will be surveyed to within 0.5 feet horizontally and to with in 0.01 feet vertically. The elevation to <br /> the top of the casing in each well will be measure with a spirit level and surveyors rod. The leveling will take place at <br /> least 24 hours after the casing seal and traffic box have been set. <br /> Using a decontaminated bailer,water samples will be take from at or near the surface of the water table,unless otherwise <br /> indicated. Water will placed within a prescribed container for the tests required. The container will be filled so that <br /> zero head space is present in the sealed vial, then will be placed in a cooler containing ice until delivered to the <br /> laboratory. The sample must be analyzed within fourteen days of sampling. A Chain of Custody will be filled out by <br /> the sampler,detection limits must be supplied by the laboratory. <br /> HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN <br /> GENERAL SAFE WORK PRACTICES <br /> The drilling company is responsible for the safety of all drilling employees on site. <br /> All general safety guidelines and procedures will conform to: <br /> • 29CFR 1910.120 <br /> • Standard Operating Safety Guides(U.S.E.P.A.,Nov. 1984 <br /> • All containers will be labeled,identifying their contents. <br /> Hazardous material will be labeled with yellow labels and will identify the person to contact. <br /> All excavation/drilling work will comply with Title 8, Article G of the California Administrative Code and local <br /> ordinances. <br /> Personnel are not allowed to eat or smoke on the site. <br /> The safety officer has the authority to suspend work arry time that person determines the safety provisions are inadequate <br /> to ensure worker safety. <br /> HEALTH AND SAFETY AGENCIES <br /> 1.
