• •
Work Plan For Domestic Well Video Logging 2
Ranch Market,23569 South Santa Fe Road,Riverbank,Califomia April 20 2000
1.0 Site Specific Health and Safety Plan and Permits
SECOR will prepare a site-specific Health and Safety Plan to cover the activities proposed at
the Site as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) Standard
"Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines (29 CFR 1910.120). The
document will be reviewed and signed by all SECOR personnel and subcontractors performing
work at the Site.
Well pump permits should be obtained from San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Division(SJCEHD)prior to removing the pumps from each well. Both the SJCEHD and the
RWQCB have requested 48-hour notice prior to conducting the work.
2.0 Access Agreements For Offsite Work
Since domestic well,DW-2, is located on the property owned by a third party, access
agreements will be secured with the owner of 23565 South Santa Fe Road prior to completing
the proposed work.
3.0 Down Hole Video Logs
A down-hole video camera will be used to determine the total depth and screened interval in the
6-inch diameter steel cased domestic wells DM-1 and DM-2. A licensed well drilling/
maintenance subcontractor will be used to remove the pumps from each well prior to running
the video camera into the wells. Since well DM-1 is currently supplying water to the Ranch
Market and the home located at 23565 South Santa Fe Road, the work will need to be
coordinated to minimize the total time well DW-1 will be taken out of service. Since well DW-
2 has contained reportable concentrations of MtBE, the video camera should be run into well
DW-1 first.
Following completion of the video log,the pump assembly will be set back into well DW-1 and
the well brought back on line. In order to avoid the future use of well DW-2, the RWQCB has
requested that the pump not be re-set into well following completion of the video log.
FilaRn-Vidw1.WKP
