Revised Work Plan For Soil and Groundwater Assessment 5
Ranch Market,23569 South Santa Fe Road Riverbank California April 25,2000
SCOPE OF WORK
Completion of the various scopes of work presented in this work plan are subject to pre-
approval by the State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Clean Water Programs,UST
Cleanup Fund Program (SWRCB-UST Fund).
Sensitive Receptor Survey
A sensitive receptor survey will be completed to identify all wells (municipal, domestic,
agricultural, and industrial), surface water bodies, schools, and other sensitive receptors located
within 2,000 feet of the Site boundary. The 2,000 foot search radius is shown on Figure 1. Per
the RWQCB request, the survey will include field reconnaissance within 500 feet of the Site
and file reviews of the local water purveyors and well permitting agency. The RWQCB has
completed a review of the Sacramento and Fresno Department of Water Resources files and
failed to find any information concerning the four domestic wells. The results of the survey
will be plotted on a map, the data summarized in a table, and include copies of any well logs
found.
Site Specific Health and Safety Plan, Permitting, and Utility Clearance
SECOR will prepare a site-specific Health and Safety Plan to cover the activities proposed at
the Site as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration(OSHA) Standard
"Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines (29 CFR 1910.120). The
document will be reviewed and signed by all SECOR personnel and subcontractors performing
work at the Site.
Permits for soil borings and well installation will be obtained from the SJCEHD. Access
agreements and encroachment permits will obtained for any borings or wells that are located on
private property or within the public right-of-way.
Prior to conducting subsurface work at the Site,Underground Service Alert (USA) will be
contacted to delineate subsurface piping near the Site with surface markings. In addition, a
private utility locator service will be contracted to clear each of the proposed drilling locations.
Fik:"-C. ro Weavl.WU
