i <br /> ACI-P-97-1006 Ranch Market - Phase TT page 6 <br /> Sampling Protocol- <br /> Soil samples were obtained from the core samples collected every S feet during drilling A <br /> split spoon sampler with brass sleeves was used The samples were retained within the brass <br /> sleeves, covered with aluminum foil anc capped with the plastic caps The plastic caps were <br /> taped to the brass sleeve using duct tape to obtain an airtight seal Samples were marked and <br /> placed in a cooler on ice until they were turned over to the laboratory, which was within 48 <br /> hours of the drilling A Cham of Custody form was properly completed by the sampler and <br /> signed by the laboratory Detection limits were supplied by the laboratory <br /> The split spoon sampler and the brass sleeves were decontaminated before each sampling <br /> event They were washed with detergent and water and rinsed thoroughly with clean water <br /> A groundwater sample was collected from below the capillary fringe <br /> Borehole Sealing- <br /> After termination of soil sampling, the boring was sealed with neat cement grout by the use <br /> of a trerrne pipe. The cement was placed in one continuous pour The lower 5 feet of the <br /> boring was sealed with bentonite grout <br /> k <br />
