(Stantec) on behalf of <br /> 7-Eleven, Inc., proposes the advancement of up to 12 soil borings to investigate soils at 7-Eleven <br /> Store #39208, located at 25460 South Schulte Road, in Tracy, California (Figure 1).This work plan <br /> was prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) <br /> soil boring permit application process. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Stantec proposes advancing up to 12 soil borings at the locations depicted on Figure 1 to a <br /> maximum depth of 20 feet below ground surface (bgs) to establish baseline conditions prior to a <br /> potential property purchase.The soil borings are located near the fuel dispensers and the <br /> estimated location of the underground fuel lines. <br /> HEALTH AND SAFETY <br /> As required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Standard "Hazardous Waste <br /> Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines (29 CFR 1910.120), and by California <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Administration "Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency <br /> Response" guidelines (CCR Title 8,Section 5192), Stantec will prepare a Site-Specific Health and <br /> Safety Plan (HASP) prior to the commencement of all field work.The HASP will be reviewed by the <br /> field staff and contractors before beginning field operations at the site. <br /> PERMITTING AND UTILITY CLEARANCE <br /> Prior to conducting the proposed work,Stantec will obtain the appropriate soil boring permits from <br /> the SJCEHD. At least 48 hours prior to conducting subsurface work,Stantec will contact <br /> Underground Service Alert to delineate subsurface utilities near the proposed soil boring locations <br /> with surface markings. A private utility locator service will also be contracted to clear the areas <br /> surrounding the proposed soil boring locations. Prior to drilling activities, each soil boring location <br /> will be cleared to five feet bgs with a hand auger. <br /> Design with community in mind <br />
