V Mr. Richard Cailistro January 21, 1993 San Joaquin County Capital Projects Page 3 To simplify contracting and to avoid the possibility of having to modify a contract each quarter to accommodate varying tasks required for each monitoring event, WESTON has based the cost estimate below on the following package of services. This package includes all tasks which WESTON anticipates will be required to conduct the monitoring program for the next four quarters. WESTON proposes to accomplish the project on a fixed cost basis with one fourth of the total contract amount invoiced quarterly upon submittal of the quarterly report. Any task that is not required would be shown as a credit on invoicing to the County. This work is subject to the WESTON General Terms and Conditions which are attached for your review. Cost Quotation Scone of Services The cost quotation presented below includes completion of the following tasks. 1. Purchase and install a purge water holding tank (installation location to be determined by the County). 2. Sample and analyze (BTEX and TPH-G) seven wells quarterly for the four calendar quarters of 1993. 3. Coordinate with the City of Stockton Department of Municipal Utilities and release purge waters twice (2nd and 4th quarters) during the year. If the purge waters must be handled as hazardous waste, costs associated with the disposal are not included in this quotation. 4. Prepare quarterly monitoring reports each quarter which include groundwater gradient maps. The report will be available for the County's review 15 days after the end of each calendar quarter. Cost Quotation WESTON proposes to complete the scope of services listed above for a fixed cost of $19,840 ($4,960 to be invoiced quarterly).
