DATE: September 1, 1992 0a0"ryco'.A
Ca
TO: Michael Smith, D41actor of Health Care Services
.ROM: Laurie CotulLa. PHS/EHD Program Manager
RE: San JoaquA/County Human Services Bldg. Site
(Former 145 S. Sutter, Stockton
As we discussed during our meeting of August 12 , 1992 , our staff has
obtained some rough cost estimates for the some of the recommended
activities at the Human Services Agency site. Estimates were received
from two local companies. Unfortunately the consulting company which
performed the prior work on this site would not offer rough estimates
without written specifications outlining the work to be done.
Description of work:
- Installation of one monitoring well drilled to 70 ft. and three
vapor extraction wells drilled to 55 ft.
- Collection of a minimum of 3-4 soil samples each well and
initial water sample of new - monitoring well; analyses to be
performed for BTEX and TPH gasoline and diesel
- Preparation of work plans, health and safety plans, reports of
work performed and quarterly monitoring reports
- Estimated casts for rental and operation of a vapor extraction
treatment unit
The following is a summary of information received to date:
RESNA, Escalon, CA (Bill Channell 209 828-3507)
$18, 000 for well installations, preparation of work plan,
health and safety plan, sampling and final report
$12, 000 for one year of quarterly monitoring and reports
(No estimate for vapor treatment equipment)
GEOLOGICAL AUDIT, Stockton, CA (Bob Marty 209 956-0264)
$17, 000 for well installations, preparation of work plan,
health and safety plan, sampling and final report
$3 ,500 per quarter for monitoring and report preparation
($14 , 000 yearly)
$7, 000 per month for rental of vapor treatment unit--
(thermal
nit(thermal oxidation) ; purchase price of unit would be
$50, 000
If you have any questions, please contact me at #3431.
cc: B.
