Giottonini :
Our representative, Weston Managers, has completed the permitting
process for the installation of four groundwater monitoring wells
adjacent to the new Human Services building in downtown Stockton.
These groundwater monitoring wells are a requirement of the
Public Health Department as a consequence of the County having
removed underground fuel tanks and contaminated soils from the
construction site.
We respectfully request that the faithful performance bond
requirement of the City of Stockton be waived in this case. Like
the City, the County is self-insured and does not have ready
access to bonding institutions to meet this purpose.
Additionally , unlike private developers and concerns , it can be
fairly presumed that the County will remain in business as an
institution during the lifetime of these wells . We recognize and
agree that the County is responsible for properly abandoning
these wells at the appropriate time. Your consideration of this
request is appreciated .
Sincere y ,
Post-It'brand fax transmittal memo 7671 F m Pages r
From
//
( - f_- I om
Go. co
Cun I 1'` .R N .tR
RICHARD G.
