C. Site Control
.r. The entire site is surrounded by perimeter fencing to
prevent unauthorized access.
D. Shipment
The transportation of the excavated soils will be by proper-
ly licensed and certified hazardous waste haulers. The
exterior of the trucks will be thoroughly cleansed prior to
leaving the site to avoid possible migration of. soil from
the site. The trucks will .`-e cleansed by brushing all
visible dust and soil off the vehicles onto plastic ground
cover. At the conclusion of the excavation project, any
soil cleaned from the trucks along with the plastic ground
g cover will be placed in the last truck to leave the site.
All trucks will be covered with a waterproof tarpaulin to
prevent soil dispersion during transit.
All soils shipped with TPH concentrations greater than 1000
mg/ka will be documented by hazardous waste manifesting
procedures. All soils shipped with TPH concentrations less
than 1000 mg/kg will be documented by bills of lading. For
disposal and shipping, San Joaquin county's EPA generator
identification number will be documented on the shipping {
manifest. San Joaquin County has a current EPA generator
. , number on file with the EPA and State of California.
E. Disposal
All soils containing greater than 1000 mg/kg TPH will be
disposed of in a Class I disposal site. Soil containing
less than 1000 mg/kg of TPH will be delivered locally for
land spreading at the Stockton, Forward, Inc. site.
F. Confirmation Sampling and Analysis
a
At the completion of the excavation to the dimensional
a limits shown on Figures 3 through 5, four soil samples will
be taken from along the perimeter of the excavation. One
sample at each of the four locations will be taken 5' above
the excavation bottom. Samples will be collected from
equally spaced distance around the perimeter of the excava-
tion. The samples will be collected via the track hoe scoop
and containerized outside of the excavation. The samples
r will be collected by driving a 21' diameter, brass tubes into
6 the soils in the track hoe scoop. The tubes will be sealed
with teflon liners and plastic end caps. In addition, the
is end caps will be secured with plastic tape. The samples
will be packaged in a refrigerated cooler for si:ipment to
the WESTON Analytics laboratory in Stockton, California for
i analysis. The lab is certified by the State of California
