Box 104
Pleasanton, ca. 94566-0040
Re: 7-Eleven store, 9110 Thornton Road, Stockton, California
Dear Dave,
This letter report presents the preliminary results of our
leak investigation at the 7-Eleven Store in Stockton, California.
Groundwater Technology was contracted to evaluate the site after
a review of inventory records indicated a 3,000 to 5,000 gallon
loss of unleaded product and integrity test of the unleaded tank,
product and vapor line system indicated a leak. The purpose of
our investigation was to determine the degree of subsurface
hydrocarbon contamination and if warranted to propose a site
assessment and groundwater clean up program.
On May 5, 1986 the product lines between the pump island and
tank pit were exposed and visual inspection of the lines in this
area did not reveal a point source of leakage although significant
corrosion was noted. An area of contaminated soil was detected
under the cement pad of the pump island suggesting a line leak
had occurred under the pad.
1
. sf4i C1a+tun lia;ld.l'lln.,nd.CA 94521 1-U1671•''-Ul; lcle%35""16 1
Robert JoncK1 i
Gn+L>gil I
j
GROUNJAVATER TF.CHNOL+OGY
t l slc{a i%of till.HF.Cutl'MY I)til-EMS 1\l'
