E
.a
f 3.3 L ^•aQ_1 Wells
1 No domestic water supply wells or irrigation wells are in the
immediate proximity of the site.
3.4 Surrounding Area
l : The site is located within the urban center of the City of
Stockton. It is surrounded by retail facilities, office building
and commercial developments.
s
3.5 Utilities
There are no known septic tanks within the area. Also, since the
site is an active construction site, the grade has been excavated
below the depth normally used for underground utilites. No
underground utilities are located on the site. All public
utilities for the area are located beneath the adjacent streets.
4.0 TANK HISTORY
No information regarding the tank history is available. Initial-
ly, during the tank removal stage, five tanks were identified.
These five tanks were identified as T1 through T5 as shown on
Figure 2. The. size and previous contents of the tanks is as
follows:
o T1 - 5,000 gallon super unleaded gasoline
o T2 - 10,000 gallon unleaded gasoline
- o T3 - 10,000 gallon leaded gasoline
i ; o T4 - 550 gallon leaded gasoline
o T5 - 550 gallon leaded gasoline
R During the course of removing these five tanks, two additional
tanks were discovered. One was a waste oil tank and one was a
sand filled tank. These tanks were designated T6 and T7 respec-
tively. Their sizes were approximately 500 gallons for T6 and
800 gallons for 127.
While removing tanks T6 and T7, another two sand filed tanks were
discovered. These tanks were the same size as T7. These tanks
were also removed.
Upon completion of the tank removal, soil samples were taken from
beneath each tank. For tanks T-2 through T-5, two samples were
taken from beneath each. Samples were typically taken from
beneath the tank fill spout area and from beneath the tank end
area (designated by b) . For the remaining tanks (T1, T6, T7, T8
and T9) only one sample was gathered from beneath the fill spout
area. For a complete description of the tank removal/sampling
! activities, refer to Appendix A which contains the tank removal
field sampling report.
6 -
