1� Y uW.GERS DESCRf61CONSlAINRS . and the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division (EHD) agreed that one year of quarterly groundwater monitoring would be performed (Table 1-1) It was also agreed that a corrective action plan (CAP) would be prepared following the completion of one year of quarterly groundwater monitoring (Roy F Weston, Work Plan for Phase IV Site Investigation and Quarterly Groundwater Sampling, February 1996) The Phase IV investigation and first round of groundwater sampling confirmed that soil contamination is present in the ' vicinity of MW-2A and that groundwater contamination is not present south (up gradient) of the former USTs The fourth quarter of Phase IV groundwater sampling was completed m May 1997 ' The CAP was submitted to EHD in January 1998 Quarterly groundwater sampling has been conducted since August 1996 This report is the fourth quarter 2000 groundwater monitoring report which represents the second report in the current fiscal year groundwater sampling effort and presents the results of continued groundwater ' sampling following the schedule presented 1n Table 1-1 Table 1-1 Sampling Schedule Quarter Monitor Wells to be Sampled First MW-2A and MW-9 Second MW-2A, MW-3A, MW-4, MW-6, MW-7, and MW-9 ' Third MW-2A and MW-9 Fourth MW-2A, MW-3A, MW-4, MW-5, MW-6, MW-7, and MW-9 ' 2.0 FIELD SAMPLING SUMMARY Groundwater samples were collected from monitor wells MW-2, MW-2A, MW-3A, MW-4, MW- 5, MW-6, MW-7, and MW-9 (Figure 1-1) on 1 and 2 November 2000 Groundwater sampling data sheets are presented in Appendix B ' Water levels in all wells were measured on 1 November The standing water volumes within wells scheduled for sampling were calculated using water levels measured in each well at the time of sampling and total well depths A submersible pump was used to purge three well casing volumes from each of the monitor wells NCASt-mdWRD1ECFSZAN10QWSA140WRPT WPD 2
