were either below the STLC or below laboratory detection limits. The concentrations of Halogenated
Volatile Organics were also below laboratory detection limits. Benzoic Acid was reported as having a
concentration of 56 ppb in the sample. According to the EPA, there are no regulatory limits of benzoic
acid in drinking water.
A sample of the onsite drinking water, DM-2, was collected from the lavatory sink. The sample was
analyzed for TPH-g, TPH-d, BTEX, and MTBE and the concentrations were below laboratory detection
limits in each case. The concentrations of the Cam-17 metals were either below the STLC or below
laboratory detection limits. The concentrations of Halogenated Volatile Organics were below laboratory
detection limits. The total fecal coliform and total coliform counts were also below laboratory detection
limits. Benzoic Acid was reported as having a concentration of 51 ppb in the sample.
CONCLUSIONS
Based on the soil and groundwater results collected from the probe location, it appears that residual TPH-
g, TPH-D, BTEX, MTBE, volatile organics or metals are not present in the soil and groundwater samples
collected in the area of the septic tank leach field. In addition, there were no contaminants of concern
present in the drinking water sample collected at the site. Based on this information, it is our opinion that
further investigation or assessment in this area is not necessary.
We trust this information meets your requirements.
