This
workplan was prepared in response to a request made during our telephone conversation on April
20, 1998.
As documented in the recently completed Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) Report
(Dames & Moore, April 2, 1998), a subsurface septic tank and groundwater supply well are present
at the site. Onsite environmental concerns could possibly be associated with past undocumented
discharges to the septic tank, and the unknown nature of water quality in the onsite water supply
well. No information was available during the Phase I ESA regarding construction details of either
the septic tank or the water supply well. According to representatives at the San Joaquin County
Department of Public Works, there is no municipal water supply at the site and tap water at the site
originates from the onsite supply well.
OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE
The objective of Dames & Moore's services will be to further assess the site conditions to identify
the potential for environmental contamination by implementing the field investigative described
herein. Specifically, our scope of services will include:
• Obtaining pertinent permits and arranging inspections with the San Joaquin County
Department of Environmental Health;
• Preparing a project-specific Health& Safety Plan to address potential physical and chemical
hazards that may be encountered during the investigation in accordance with OSHA
requirements as specified in 29 CFR 1910.120 (b);
Offices Worldwide
