Preliminary Endangerment Assessment Page 3
Former Haley's Flying Service
GPE Project 474.2
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The general purpose and scope of the PEA is described in Section 1 of the PEA. The
purpose of the supplemental work documented in this addendum was to determine whether
the shallow groundwater has been impacted by the pesticide release documented in the
original PEA.
1.1 Purpose and Scope of Work
To accomplish the goal of evaluating possible pesticide impact to the groundwater, the
following tasks were completed:
1 Collected six groundwater samples and tested them for the presence of organo-
chlorine pesticides,
2 Evaluated health-risk impacts, and
3 Provided recommendations based on the findings of this addendum.
1.2 Report Organization
The organization of this addendum loosely follows that of the original PEA. Section 2 is a
brief description of the problem identified in this addendum. The actual sampling and
laboratory analytical results are documented in Section 3, while Section 4 evaluates the
quality of the information so obtained. Section 5 describes the associated human health
implications. The conclusions and recommendations are detailed in Section 6. Two figures
with graphical information are also provided, and four appendices containing laboratory data
sheets and other basic information support the text.
2937 Veneman Avenue,Suite B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
