* KLEINFELDER
was reported from push probe sample location PP6 located southeast of Tank No. 2 by a surface
pump. Similar to the soil sampling findings and discussion the highest concentrations of the
requested analytes in groundwater is from pushprobe locations PPS, PP6, PP7 and PPB,
supporting the soil sampling findings. Based on the soil and groundwater sampling results it is
Kleinfelder's opinion that this area (near PP5, PP6, PP7 and PP8) is the general source area for
the groundwater contaminant plume as illustrated on Plates 3 and 4.
Plate 3 shows a nitrate as N plume in proximity to PP6, which is oblong and irregular shaped,
measuring approximately 480 by 400 feet for the 100 ppm isocontour. The 10,000 ppm
isocontour is estimated to be approximately 40 by 100 feet. The extent of the nitrate plume is
not known. Plate 4 shows a ammonia plume of approximately the same size and dimension.
The 10,000 ppm isocontour is estimated to be approximately 50 by 100 feet near PP-8. The
extent of the ammonia plume is not known.
Soil and groundwater sampling results are summarized in Table 1 in the Appendices of this
report. Laboratory analytical results are included in Appendix C.
43851.E01/STO5R158/DH:ly Page 8 of 12
02005,Kleinfelder,Inc. February 9,2005
