W-M KLEINFELDER
the plume is un-known, although attenuation with lateral distance in each direction is
apparent, based on the two isocontour maps developed.
8) It appears unlikely that domestic wells are located in the vicinity of the subject site for
drinking water due to the industrial activities in the area. However Kleinfelder recommends a
survey of potential wells in the area, to evaluate risk to potential wells or sensitive receptors
in the area. Elevated nitrate levels in groundwater have documented detrimental effects to
the health and welfare of the public.
9) Kleinfelder recommends conducting a feasibility study of possible remediation options.
10)Kleinfelder recommends that a copy of this report be submitted to SJCEHD for their review
and comment prior to future onsite activities.
This report, and the conclusions and recommendations presented in this Executive Summary, are
subject to the "Limitations" presented in Chapter 7 of this report. Any other party (other than
HCB, IRM or regulatory agencies having enforcement jurisdiction for this site) who would like
to use this report shall notify Kleinfelder, Inc. of such intended use in writing.
43851.E01/STO5R158/DH:ly Page 10 of 12
02005,Kleinfelder,Inc.
