k" KLE1 N FELDER
File No.: 20-2314-01
July 11, 1988 t-1PLTH
V1Ci0`'N
/5EPRV1CS
N ERt11
Zagaris Management Services
1230 Orangeburg
Modesto, California 95350
Attention: Mr. Dave von Savoye
Subject: PERCOLATION TESTS
NORTH MORADA ESTATES
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA
Gentlemen:
Presented in this letter are the results of our percolation testing performed
for the north Morada Estates Subdivision located between Eight-Mile and
Quashnick Roads just east of Highway 99 in San Joaquin County, California. A
plot plan and vicinity map showing the approximate locations of the proposed
subdivision are presented on Plate I.
Twenty-two percolation tests were set up on July 5, 1988, by representatives of
our firm at locations staked in the field by Mid-Valley Engineers. The test
locations are shown on Plate I. The test holes were drilled to depths of 3-1/2
feet and had a diameter of 6 inches. PVC pipe was then inserted into the test
holes and approximately 2 inches of clean sand was placed on the soil surface
within the pipe to avoid disturbance of the soil when the water was poured into
the pipe. The test holes were filled to the surface with relatively clean water
the day before they were to be performed and left to soak overnight.
On July 6, 7 and 8, 1988, representatives of our firm returned to the site to
perform the percolation tests. The tests were performed according to guidelines
established by San Joaquin County officials. The percolation tests were
measured to have percolation rates of from 3-1/2 minutes per inch to no per-
colation. The results of the percolation tests are presented on Table I.
Copies of the county approved test sheets are attached to this letter.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact us.
Respectfully submitted,
KLEINFELDER
Patrick C.
