i. RIEDEL ENVIRONMENTAL
SERVICES INC
The 5 samples obtained during the fourth confirmatory sampling event were analyzed for TPHd
by Argon. The results of the on-site analytical testing indicated that sample CD-03-1B contained
3400 ppm TPHd, sample CD-034C contained 8300 ppm TPHd, and sample CD-03-1D
contained 110 ppm TPHd. Detectable concentrations of TPHd were not present in samples
CD-03-IA or CD-03-1E.
Six additional samples were obtained from the soils beneath the excavation bottom in areas of
concern. Samples CD-04-1B, CD-05-1B, and CD-06-1B were obtained at depths of 23, 26, and
' 27.5 feet below grade beneath the location that sample CD-03-1B had been obtained. Sample
CD44-1B contained 510 ppm. TPHd, sample CD-05-1B contained 120 ppm TPHd, and sample
CD-06-1B did not contain detectable concentrations of TPHd. Samples CD-04-1C(&23',
' CD-05-ICQ26', and CD-064CO27.5' were obtained from the soils beneath the location that
sample CD-034C had been obtained. Sample CD-04-1 QD23' contained 610 ppm TPHd,
sample CD-05-1C@26' contained 250ppm TPHd, and sample CD-06-1CO27.5' did not contain
' detectable concentrations of TPHd.
At the request of Ms. Meays, six soil samples were obtained from the northern sidewall of the
t excavation. Samples SW-01-15.5 and SW-02-15-0.5 were obtained from the northern sidewall
at depths of 15 feet below grade. Sample SW-01-15-3 was obtained at a depth of 15 feel below
grade and 3 feet into the sidewall from sample SW-01-15.5 utilizing the manually augering
' equipment. Samples SW-03-3-19, SW-03-19-6.5',and SW-03-19-8.5 were obtained 3, 6.5, and
8.5 feet into a hole manually augered at a 45 degree angle at the bottom of the northern
sidewall. The locations of the sidewall samples are shown on Figure 6.
The sidewall samples were analyzed for TPHd. The results of the analysis indicated that
samples SW-01-15.5, SW-01-15-3, and SW-02-15-0.5 did not contain detectable concentrations
' of TPHd. Sample SW-03-3-19 contained 1800 ppm TPHd, sample SW-03-19-6.5'contained 280
ppm TPHd, and sample SW-03-19-8.5 did not contain detectable concentrations of TPHd.
1
1
1
1
4035-931511P1P9_3T0KN.RMjMAX% 5
