in the method blank analyzed as part of the laboratory QA/QC program Since analysis of
quarterly well monuornng samples and borehole samples have not indicated downgradient
migration of diesel or it's constituents, it is likely that the impact to groundwater, encountered
in the inial samples collected from wells MW-1 and MW-2 may have been due to
incomplete well development or migration of off-site sourced hydrocarbons through adjacent
utility fill
In summary, inaccessible diesel impacted sods remain beneath the site building, which
surround the abandoned 300 and 550 gallon diesel tanks Review of soil and groundwater
analytical data does not indicate migration of the diesel fuel. As no detectable diesel or it's
volatile components has been encountered during four consecutive quarterly monitoring
events, the lack of migration appears to be a static condition It appears that no further action
is warranted at this site U recommends the San Joaquin County Health Department review
this case and recommend closure to the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board
MZ/03-17-93/ENG/'93-0034 jf 9
