SAN JOAQUIN <br /> SITE CODE: 1245 <br /> APN: 149-070--32-8 <br /> 1988 <br /> 08/24/88 Office hearing held at PHS/EHD office regarding UST <br /> compliance; 10, 000 gal . gasoline tank to be removed <br /> (tank A) , 5, 000 gal . diesel tank (tank B) filled with i <br /> sand in 1974 and closed in place, 2/5, 000 gal . diesel i <br /> tanks (tanks C and D) proposed to be closed in place . <br /> 12/1-2/88 Soil boring performed in area of tank C and D, results <br /> indicated low concentrations of toluene of 71 ppb at 16 <br /> feet bgs in sample FC-C-CA2 . <br /> 1989 <br /> I <br /> F <br /> 01/06/89 Tank A (10 , 000 gal . gas UST) removed this date . <br /> 01/09/89 PHS/EHD verified soil sampling of tank A excavation <br /> bottom, results positive for gasoline. Sample TPA-2 on <br /> east end contained: 2, 000 ppm TPH-gas, 7 . 9 ppm <br /> Ethylbenzene, 1 . 1 ppm Toluene, and 140 ppm Xylene . <br /> 02/03/89 PHS/EHD completed a Prop 65 , UAR, and added this site <br /> to contaminated list . <br /> 03/29/89 Site placed in PHS/EHD L.O. P. <br /> 08/2-3/89 Soil borings performed in area of tank A, low <br /> concentrations of Toluene found in all 4 borings to 42 <br /> feet just above groundwater. Toluene levels ranged j <br /> from N.D . to 210 ppb. <br /> 1990 <br /> 04/1.2/90 Tank A site overexcavated to 25 feet bgs and soil <br /> placed on the surface for on site aeration. PHS/EHD <br /> observed improper sample collection and would not <br /> recognize analytical data as representative, samples <br /> not analyzed and discarded. <br /> 05/14/90 Aerated soil sampled to confirm remediation, soil <br /> sample L4788-01 N.D. for BTEX. <br /> 06/28-29 On site MW installation began, soil samples collected. <br /> 07/02/90 MW installation completed, 3 wells and one soil boring <br /> placed around and in area of tank A. Soil samples <br /> collected for analyses . Low concentrations of Toluene <br /> found in. MW 1 to 15 feet bgs (77 ppb) and low gasoline <br /> concentrations found in SB-1 under east end of tank at <br />
