The <br /> items initially received are still usable. <br /> -Several dozen paint containers of different sizes were observed in the warehouse and in a storage container on the <br /> south side of the facility. Steve Jones, Owner, stated that several of the paint containers could be up to 15-20 years <br /> old and are a waste. <br /> -One 5 gallon container of primer was observed in a storage area on the south side of the facility. Steve Jones <br /> stated that the primer was not usable anymore. <br /> -In the warehouse, approximately one dozen 1 gallon cans of"Thorogrip"were on shelves. In addition,there were <br /> multiple containers of other additives used for construction. <br /> Steve Jones stated that there were waste items mixed in with the items still usable. <br /> -Sand blast waste was found on the ground in the construction yard. Steve Jones said that the sand would be <br /> waste. <br /> -In 2016, diesel absorbent was taken to JR Simplot for disposal. Steve Jones stated that this only occurred one <br /> time and that it would not happen again. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste <br /> as specified in Title 22 California Code of Regulations(CCR). There are wastes that are listed as hazardous <br /> wastes. There are wastes that exhibit one or more of the hazardous waste characteristics:toxic, corrosive, reactive <br /> or ignitable. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately make a hazardous waste determination for each waste including the paint, <br /> sand blast waste, and the other construction materials, and manage them according to Title 22 CCR. Use Safety <br /> Data Sheets(SDS),waste sampling and test results or other knowledge to support your hazardous waste <br /> determination. Waste testing must be done using methods specified in Title 22 CCR including sections <br /> 66261.20-24. <br /> Submit a statement and supporting documentation with your hazardous waste determination. Demonstrate current <br /> storage and labeling for wastes determined to be hazardous wastes. Provide disposal records for wastes <br /> determined to be hazardous wastes and stored longer than the number of days specified in Title 22 CCR for your <br /> hazardous waste generator status.
