Castanon : <br /> RE : KIDS KORNER DEVELOPMENT CENTER <br /> FACILITY #390316262/39031626.4 <br /> This letter. is in refe_rence_ t.o your appl-ications for a child day <br /> care center and school-age program :license at the above address <br /> submitted to the Sacramento-`District :Office on June 26, 1991 . <br /> On October 25, -1991 this offi-ce .received ' a copy of a letter <br /> addressed to you .from the _S_an Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services .that, in summary, states that contamination from leaking <br /> underground storage tanks: and -hazards associated with this <br /> problem raise a question of; health- and safety, It is also our <br /> understanding that formal enforcement actio-n. is being taken <br /> against you by the- San Joaquin County Public Health Services due <br /> to lack of information necessary to show that ground water under <br /> the site has not been contaminated and—that there—is not_..a., <br /> significant threat to nearby city of, Lodi water wells which the <br /> proposed day care center ..would access for use by the children . , <br /> Calif )rnia Code of Regulation (CCR)., Section -101169 ( 15) and H&S <br /> Code Section 1596 . 95(f ) state in part that during the application <br /> process the Department of Social Services may require other <br /> information as may be required for the proper administration- and <br /> enforcement . <br /> In order for the Department -to proceed with the .application <br /> process, we will require documentation from San `Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services ensuring that the facility is .in <br /> compliance with their . regulations 9 6vernin:g the construction of a <br /> day care center . <br /> CCR Section 101238( a) states that the facilityshall be .clean, <br /> safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times for the safety and <br /> well being of childr-en, employees and visitors . <br />
